Playing catchup

I have quite a bit of catching up to do with my pictures. I should have started with the oldest but not knowing how to blog didn't think about it. So my newest pictures are my oldest posts. Oh well. I will get caught up and then be able to keep up.

Fishing with Grandpa

Andy and Jodi were down a few weeks ago. Grandpa had promised Drew that he would take him fishing. We went over to the golf course pond and had a lot of fun "WATCHING GRANDPA RON" catch fish. He let Drew and Maia reel them in. No one else had much luck. Isn't that the way it always is? Dang, that guy is lucky.

Maia at Ancestor Square

I took a photo class at the Washington City Community Center earlier this spring. It was a 6 week course and it really helped me get to know my camera better. Didn't necessarily make me a better photographer however - still working on that. The last class was on a Saturday morning at Ancestor Square. We needed to bring a model so I took Maia. It was early in the morning and the lighting wasn't the best and since I haven't figured out how to image edit with my Paintshop Pro yet we have to put up with shadows and things. Perhaps another class?

Photo shoot

I made spring outfits for my darling granddaughters. When I was out there this past week - we decided to do a photo shoot with the girls in their dresses and our cute little Griffin. We wanted to take Liv's little black Pottery Barn table and chairs - find an open field with tall swaying grass and take pictures. We thought it would be so cute to have it look like a tea party. So after getting the kids dressed and the table and chairs carried over the bridge and across a creek the kids would have no part of it (at least the way we thought we wanted it). It was late afternoon and HOT! Well with that said I still think you can't take bad pictures of such cute subjects even if they don't want to cooperate.

The desert is in full bloom! My yard is full of flowering trees and shrubs. What a beautiful sight considering what it will look like in a month. Like me - the flowers will all wilt and drop from the heat so I am enjoying this moment.
