Fly Away

We had a poor little hummingbird lost up in our tower today. I tried coaxing it out but it wouldn't listen. He was flapping his little wings so fast and just kept hitting the window. I think once the sun went down he flew away...

...at least that is what I am telling myself.

This trail lives up to its name. It's a killer!

So much to see! I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Makes up for the heat of July and August when everything hides and wilts.

I am so glad that I took my camera with me today. I love watching the wildlife.

I see lots of rabbits - sometimes a road runner or two - different kinds of birds - and lizards but today a special treat...

... I was taking a picture of St. George off in the distance and turned around and this guy was just watching me. I didn't have time to change the setting on my camera ( it was on landscape) so just took these before he wandered off.

Happy Trails

To the water tank.

Yesterday when I went for my walk I was wishing I had my camera with me. This morning I took it with me and was so glad that I did. Coral Canyon has about 20 miles of trails. Most of the time I walk on the trails close by and in and around the homes - but when I have the time I take the trail up past the water tank and across the top of the mountain. Ron always tells me I shouldn't go up there alone but it is beautiful and I see so much that I ignore him and do it anyway.

Playing catchup

I have quite a bit of catching up to do with my pictures. I should have started with the oldest but not knowing how to blog didn't think about it. So my newest pictures are my oldest posts. Oh well. I will get caught up and then be able to keep up.

Fishing with Grandpa

Andy and Jodi were down a few weeks ago. Grandpa had promised Drew that he would take him fishing. We went over to the golf course pond and had a lot of fun "WATCHING GRANDPA RON" catch fish. He let Drew and Maia reel them in. No one else had much luck. Isn't that the way it always is? Dang, that guy is lucky.
