Yellowstone 2004-2008

A few years after we took our trip to Alaska, Ron decided it would be fun to take Bryan and Clint into "Beula Lake". He had been there about 40 years earlier as a young scout. We were excited because the boys were really into flyfishing now and knew they would have a great time. Little did we know it would be the start of an annual trip. We have gone into Beula 5 times, fished the Snake and several other rivers. In 2008 it was a trip to the Boulder Mountains in central Utah. We look forward to this trip every year. A couple of years ago, both Bryan and Clint called the morning we were leaving to go and said "this is the trip I have been looking forward to this whole year."
It really has been great times with the boys and now with their families.

Alaska 2000

When Clint was a senior in high school we took the boys on a fishing trip to Alaska.
At the time Taco Bell and naps were more exciting for them. They played a little ball - did some late night salmon spearing - and caught some pretty nice fish!

Fish Scales and Tales

Ron has always loved to flyfish so when we got married I decided to learn. We would take Bryan and Clint with us fishing on the Big Horn river. They liked to fish but they goofed around a lot more than fished and loved every minute.

New fear of flying!!!

Some of these shots were taken as we were flying upside down.

Not really but it sure felt as if we were going to be.

I thought the flight to Boise was a little more bumpy than usual...

...but the flight back to Vegas was down right frightening.

The plane was all over the place.

We were told by the pilot (who kept apologizing) that no one was to leave their seats -including the flight attendants-so no snacks or drinks. We could not remove our seat belts for ANY reason.

Seriously - I have never been on a flight as scary and when we landed on one wheel and jerked all the way down the runway finally coming to a stop everyone...

... clapped and cheered.

Has anyone seen Edward?

I left to go walking yesterday and saw the eeriest glow in the sky. I went back and got my camera to capture the sun. I was looking over my shoulder my entire walk wondering...
... No I don't believe in -well - you know!!!
This blood-red glow was actually caused by the fires in New Harmony.

Oh how I LOVE those twirly skirts!!!

Well, I made my final (at least for now) twirly skirts this past weekend. I had previously made them for all my granddaughters, my niece, and now for the darling little girls down the street.

I really hadn't wanted to be finished with them yet but now that I have made 12 of them I can put the pattern to rest and move on to something else.

Panguitch Lake

Ron went fishing this morning with a couple of guys that he works with(Casey and Bob). He had a great time despite leaving at 4:30a.m. He caught 3 Cutthroat about( 22-24) inches and 5 Rainbow about(16-20)inches. Now I say about because I was not there to witness -or- measure so...

...I was glad he snapped a couple of pictures to show me. He is getting primed for our annual trip to Yellowstone with Bryan, Abbey, Ayla, Griff, Clint, Lori and Bode. We are really excited for the trip. We are staying in West Yellowstone this year and not in Jackson like we have in the past. More about that trip later - stay tuned.
